1. I make trap style music with this app. If I add in a set of 16th high hat hits or triplets, itll be fine. But after I save it and make sure its updated to iCloud, I will reopen it and sometimes it changes them to eighth notes or erases them completely. I have noticed that my iPod (newest gen) had this weird bug where if I plug in certain aux cords, it makes my music play 2x as fast or pulls up Siri. So my theory as a potential bug is that when I had my headphones in, it somehow triggered that bug. Or when I hear the song out loud and then plug in my headphones. Either way, there is some sort of problem with the AUX/headphone jack that affects my music and possibly GarageBand. If you edit a song, you are better off recording it while its how you want it with some other device than saving and then coming back only to find that its not how you saved it. Even IF you saved it to the iCloud.
2. The export is only ok. While you cant export your music as a MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, MIDI, QuickTime, or any other style of audio, (which they should allow. Just simply have it exported to an email), you can export it to YouTube, SoundCloud, and possibly Facebook. It says you can export it to Messenger, Google Drive, and other places, often it will say something like, "Doesnt Support File."
So you cant export it to say edit your song on a Mac version of GarageBand.
3. They need cross platform capability. Allow iOS GarageBand to export to be imported into Mac GarageBand. But from an iPod. Not just an iPhone or iPad.
4. You cant save it (your song) as a MP3! It had to save as a .band file. Which you cant import solely because you cant export it as one.
5. You cant export a .band file to Google Drive. It goes 99% then stops. I figure its just reading all the data. But it never fully uploads.
6. You cant import sounds on the iOS versions.
7. They should have a shortcut for rhythmic patterns to click on. Like samples of drum patterns most common in genres you can pick from. It would save time and effort than going in and editing every single note. Example: making a perfect triplet, guitar strumming.
8. They need a better mastering. Like the ability to turn up the volume of recorded sounds even more. I sometimes have to record vocal chants for songs and I either have to be extremely loud or turn down the rest of the instruments to make the recording louder. It makes terrible end product mastering wise.
9. Again, needs better export options. Make a linking app if you have to.
10. Have customization options where you can change the reverb, delay, pitch, tone, and speed of INDIVIDUAL notes. (I dont know if you have that already though)
11. Have the option to play a recording on the piano roll at different pitches without slowing down or speeding up the recording.
12. And lastly but extremely important:
An AUTOSAVE option. As well as an Low Battery Auto Save option that comes on before your phone/iPod/iPad dies. As well as have the ability to look at he past 5 autosaves and reopen them. (Kinda like Adobe does.)
Has potential, need to focus on customer feedback and fixing headphone jack bug.
