Decent but could be better
Im going to start out by saying this app is a better emulator than a recording software. I have been using the app for over two years and have noticed a few things.
If you really want to make decent music with this then you will want to buy a decent mic (I recommend the Rhode NT-USB for beginners) and the $30 USB camera adapter (you can buy them from the Apple Store). These will help you Record better sounds like guitars (which are nearly impossible to play in the app, use an actual guitar) and synths. Doing this will allow you to record directly into the app itself rather than through the ipads/iPhones microphone.
After doing this you will quickly notice the the FX options are extremely weak and are hard to optimize properly. I already owned the Noviation Launchpad app with all the effects so I found it easier to take my tracks from garage band and export them to launchpad or Blocs wave.
Aside from a few problems the app is great. The ability to have jame sessions with friends remind me of abletion link however do not expect to be able to use other supporting apps like you can with abletion.
I would highly encourage those who want to make simple songs or those who want to learn how to use a recording studio to buy garage band but if you want to get into music production on a serious level I would not make this your main source unless you also have it on MacBook.
